Box Score The Lancaster Bible women's lacrosse team lost its second straight game on Saturday, falling to Albright, 20-4 in Reading, Pa. Chargers' senior
Whitney Heise had three of LBC's goals, while sophomore
Danielle Good scored her first of the season.
The Lions (1-0) started fast as they built a 5-0 lead just 6:44 into the game. Heise got the Chargers on the board less than a minute later, but that would be as close as LBC would get as Albright built a 17-2 halftime lead.
"Albright is young, but they move the ball well and we couldn't keep pace with their speed," Chargers' Head Coach
Zach Freeman said. "I thought we improved in some facets of the game we struggled with on Tuesday at Hood, but we need to find some pace and flow offensively."
Albright outshot the Chargers, 32-6, while both teams made two saves. LBC turned the ball over just six times on Saturday, something Freeman was pleased with.
"We had 26 turnovers on Tuesday and to trim that by 20 just three days later is very encouraging," Freeman said. "One of our goals coming into the game was to limit our turnovers and I thought we did a better job communicating today and that certainly helped lower the number of times we turned the ball over."
The Chargers (0-2) are off until March 16 when they travel to Camden, N.J. to take on Rutgers-Camden at 1 p.m.
