Box Score The Lancaster Bible women's lacrosse team dropped its second straight game on Wednesday, falling to Arcadia, 18-2 in Glenside, Pa. The Chargers head into Easter Break with a 1-5 record and will have one more non-conference game on Tuesday before they begin their nine-game march through the NEAC portion of their schedule.
On Wednesday, the Chargers were outplayed from the get-go as the Knights racked up a 13-0 halftime lead. Though the score was lopsided, Chargers' Head Coach
Zach Freeman said the defense didn't play poorly.
"I thought the defense played pretty well today," Freeman said. "Our trouble was that we would create a turnover, but then turn the ball right back over. We can't ask the defense to play perfect defense for three minutes straight. Eventually everyone wears down or loses their man."
Senior
Whitney Heise scored both LBC goals as she increased her team lead to 23. Goalie
Cheyenne Benson made three saves for the Chargers, while defenseman
Emily Martz scooped up a team-high five ground balls.
"There are encouraging things to take away from the first part of the season, but there is plenty to still work on," Freeman said. "The ladies need to believe in themselves a bit more and start to get a little tougher throughout the game. We are excited for the start of NEAC play next week."
The Chargers final non-conference game will be against Immaculata on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Charger Field.
