Box Score After snapping a seven-game losing streak on Wednesday against Penn St. Abington, the Lancaster Bible women's lacrosse team was looking to build its first winning streak of the season on Friday at Morrisville State. The Mustangs quickly put an end to that thought as they jumped out to an early lead and won, 18-2 in Morrisville, N.Y.
Seniors
Nicole Valinteno and
Whitney Heise scored for the Chargers who fell to 2-11 overall and 1-5 in NEAC play. Freshman goalie
Cheyenne Benson made 12 saves, including her 100th of the season on Friday as LBC fell to 0-2 all-time against the Mustangs.
"Morrisville is quick and they play a much tighter defense than we have seen all year," Chargers' Head Coach
Zach Freeman said. "I think they caught us off guard and their ability to control the tempo hurt us and we never recovered."
The Chargers will look to get back into the win column on Saturday when they take on Cazenovia at 1 p.m. in Cazenovia, N.Y.
