Box Score The Lancaster Bible women's lacrosse team hung tough for 45 minutes on Saturday at Cazenovia, but the final Wildcat push proved to be too much as the Chargers lost, 15-7 in Cazenovia, N.Y.
Chargers' senior
Whitney Heise had five goals for the Chargers, while senior
Emily Lloyd and junior
Ky-Leigh Hallman added the other LBC goals.
LBC (2-12, 1-6 NEAC) trailed 5-3 at halftime and after an early goal put Cazenovia up 6-3, the Chargers battled back to make it 6-5 with just over 20 minutes to play. The Chargers had chances to tie the game, but inconsistency plagued LBC once again and the Wildcats took advantage over the final 15 minutes as they put the game away.
"We had chances and I thought we played pretty well defensively for most of the game," Chargers' Head Coach
Zach Freeman said. "I'm proud of the girls for not giving up today and not letting yesterday's loss bother them today. I think Cazenovia just did a few more things than us today and hopefully we can correct our mistakes for the final week of the season.
The Chargers have two games remaining as they host St. Elizabeth on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in their home finale and will travel to Chambersburg, Pa. on Friday to take on Wilson at 4 p.m.
