Box Score Two days after losing, 16-1, the Lancaster Bible women's lacrosse team played much better in every area of the game on Saturday in its 13-6 loss to Waynesburg.
The Yellow Jackets jumped out to an 8-1 halftime lead at Charger Field on Saturday, but Lancaster Bible fought back in the second half and cut the deficit to 9-5 just 6:50 into the second half.
Waynesburg scored the next three goals however and re-took a seven-goal lead. Lancaster Bible senior 
Annie Hoover scored her second goal of the game with 10:08 to play to make it 12-6, but the Chargers would not get any closer as Jess Rains scored with 4:38 to play to ice the game.
In addition to Hoover's two goals, 
Ky-Leigh Hallman, 
Erin Railey, 
Joanna Shughart and 
Alyssa Wesner also scored for the Chargers who dropped to 0-5 this season. Sophomore goalie 
Cheyenne Benson made five saves for the Chargers, who outshot the Yellow Jackets (1-1), 31-24.
Lancaster Bible also held a 13-8 edge in draw controls and took 12 free-position shots to just two for Waynesburg.
The Chargers are back in action on Tuesday when they head to Bryn Athyn, Pa. to face Bryn Athyn at 4 p.m.
