Lancaster Bible Falls to Penn St. Abington

Box Score The Lancaster Bible women's lacrosse team dropped its fourth straight game on Wednesday night as they lost to Penn St. Abington, 13-1 at Hatboro-Horsham High School.

Freshman Joanna Shughart scored the lone goal for the Chargers who were outscored 11-0 in the first half. The goal was Shughart's sixth of the season as the Chargers played without four of their regular players who had a required event per their major. Helping the Chargers out however was sophomore Katy Stover who had three shots in her first career lacrosse game.

Freshman Alyssa Wesner had a strong game as she caused seven turnovers and picked a team-high seven ground balls. Sophomore goalie Cheyenne Benson made eight saves in the loss.

The Chargers (1-13, 1-6 NEAC) will wrap-up their regular season this weekend when they host Morrisville State on Friday and Cazenovia on Saturday. Lancaster Bible takes on the Mustangs at 4 p.m. on Friday and the Wildcats at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
