The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse program will begin its 14
th season of play on Friday afternoon, as the Chargers will open the 2019 campaign at Delaware Valley. The Chargers went 4-12 overall last season, and 3-6 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, as Lancaster Bible was once again bitten by the injury bug throughout the season, but after a 1-10 start to the year, finished by winning three of its final five games.

Team Notes
-The Chargers schedule is split evenly between NEAC and non-conference games, as Lancaster Bible's first eight games are non-conference contests, followed by eight straight NEAC games
-Also split evenly are the home and road contests for Lancaster Bible, as they will play four non-conference games at Donald H. Funk Field, as well as four NEAC games at the new turf facility…Lancaster Bible's final two games of the regular season are at home as well on April 26-27.
-Though Lancaster Bible must replace Kemrer's offense and leadership, 119 of last season's 172 goals return, as Thompson and
Raegan Horst will once again lead the offensive charge…However, as Coach Horst mentioned on the podcast, Lancaster Bible will look to spread its offense around, so look for many more players to be involved offensively this season, than in previous seasons
-One improvement the Chargers would like to make is playing better in the first half of games, as Lancaster Bible struggled in the first half of games last season, being outscored, 136-86 in the opening 30 minutes of games last year
-Lancaster Bible thrived in draw controls last season, as the Chargers earned 277 draw controls, while opponents had just 164
-The Chargers will play games in four different states throughout the season, as Lancaster Bible visits Maryland, New Jersey and New York in addition to playing several games in the Keystone state.
-Lancaster Bible was ranked eighth in the 2019 NEAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll…Defending champion Morrisville State earned the top spot

The Boss
-Head Coach
Cheri Horst enters her fifth season at the helm of the Chargers, and will look to lead the Chargers back to the NEAC Playoffs after missing the postseason over the past two years.
-Horst is 20-43 overall in her first four seasons, and her 20 wins are already the most in program history
