The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team will open the 16^th season in program history on Saturday afternoon, as the Chargers welcome Wesley to the Donald H. Funk Field.
 
Saturday's game will be 367 days after the Chargers played their last game of 2020, as the COVID-19 Pandemic ended Lancaster Bible's season after four games. Though the Chargers went 0-4 last season, the team had played better in each of its contests, and was preparing to a difficult team to play in North Eastern Athletic Conference play.
 
Fast-forward a year, and the Chargers look different than a season ago, but do feature many returners to go with a good crop of young players. Leading scorers Kendal Ream and Camryn Horst return from a season ago, and the defense will feature freshman goalie Alexis Garrett who had solid success at the high school level.
 
One thing missing from the 2021 season so far is a conference schedule. The NEAC was set to release the schedule this week, but a late determination from Hilbert about canceling its season through a wrench into the process, and the schedule will now be released as soon as possible. For now, the Chargers will begin with two non-conference contests, the first of which is Saturday against the Wolverines.
