Lancaster Bible Ready for First-Ever NEAC Final

The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team will play in its first-ever North Eastern Athletic Conference Final on Saturday afternoon in Morrisville, N.Y., as the Chargers and top-seeded Morrisville State will battle for the conference championship. While the Chargers are making their first appearance in the NEAC Final, Morrisville State will be making its eighth appearance, and will be looking for its fourth straight NEAC Championship.
 
Saturday's game is scheduled for 1 p.m., and because of COVID-19 regulations within the NEAC, there will be no spectators permitted at the contest.

How They Got Here
Lancaster Bible: The Chargers sprinted out of the gate against Wells in last Sunday's NEAC Semifinals, as the Chargers led 10-0 just 8:34 into the contest and never looked back en route to a 21-3 victory…Lancaster Bible led 13-1 at halftime and outscored the Express 8-2 in the second half as well.
 
Morrisville State: The Mustangs had an equally easy time advancing to the NEAC Final, as the Mustangs crushed Mount Aloysius, 25-6…Morrisville State led, 16-3 at halftime, and outshot the Mounties, 39-11.
 
Regular Season Contest
Apr. 10: Lancaster Bible jumped out quickly in the first meeting between the two teams, and led by scores of 3-1 and 6-3 following a goal by Amanda Hay with 20:55 left to play in the opening half…Morrisville State tied the game at 6-6, before Kayla Steiner restored Lancaster Bible's lead, 7-6 with 16:26 to play in the frame…It was all Morrisville State from there however, as the Mustangs outscored the Chargers, 10-3 over the final 16 minutes of the first half to take a 16-10 lead after 30 minutes of play…Lancaster Bible couldn't recover in the second half, and scored just twice, as they lost, 25-12.

Lancaster Bible: Lancaster Bible has scored 144 goals and allowed just 90 through nine games this season…The Chargers have scooped up 202 ground balls and won 152 draw controls…Five different players have scored 14 or more goals for the Chargers this season, including Katelynn Perrotta (39), Kendal Ream (37), Kayla Steiner (25), Camryn Horst (19), and Kaitlyn Myers (14)…The Chargers also have four players with 10 or more assists, led by Ream's 16 and Horst's 15…Ream and Steiner have 11 and 10 free-position goals respectfully, and lead the NEAC in the category.

Lancaster Bible: Saturday will mark just the third NEAC postseason game in program history for the Chargers and they have a 1-1 record in their first two…Lancaster Bible's only other NEAC Playoff appearance came in 2016 when the Chargers lost to Medaille in the NEAC Quarterfinals…The Chargers have never beaten Morrisville State and are 0-9 all-time against the Mustangs…Lancaster Bible is 2-1 on the road this season, with the lone loss coming at Morrisville State…Ream headlined five Lancaster Bible players who earned NEAC All-Conference honors on Friday morning, as she was named NEAC Offensive Player of the Year…Lancaster Bible Head Coach Cheri Horst was named NEAC Coach of the Year as well.
 
Morrisville State: The Mustangs have won the NEAC Championship four times, including the last three…Morrisville State is 3-2 at home this season…The Mustangs have scored 17 or more goals in a game four times this season, and scored 25 goals in a game three times…Morrisville State had 11 players named to the NEAC All-Conference Teams on Friday.
