The Lancaster Bible College field hockey team opens its fifth season of play since returning to varsity status in 2018 on Thursday, as the Chargers head to Aston, Pa. to battle Neumann at 6 p.m. Lancaster Bible went 3-13 a year ago, but won two of its final three games, including a 5-0 victory over Bryn Athyn to close out the season.

The Schedule
The 2022 schedule features stretches of both home and road contests, as the Chargers will play their first four games of the season on the road, followed by five straight home contests…Lancaster Bible will host Southern Virginia on Homecoming & Family Weekend on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 6 p.m., and then open CSAC play four days later with a home game against Bryn Athyn…Six of Lancaster Bible's final eight games will be on the road…Lancaster Bible's final home regular season contest is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 18 against Notre Dame (Md.) at 4:30 p.m.
 
Program Notes
-Lancaster Bible struggled on its home turf a year ago, but was actually 3-5 in games away from Lancaster Bible
-Six different players scored a goal for the Chargers in 2021, and all of them are returning for the 2022 season
-Molly Gray, last year's leading scorer, returns to the team for her sophomore season…Gray had 10 goals in 2021 and led the team with 50 shots
-Hannah Hoffman also returns this season, as she was second on the team with three goals last season
-Goalkeeper Alexis Garrett is back for her junior season, and this year will be joined by fellow goalkeeper, Amanda Hoover, on the roster
-Junior Dominique Statuti joins this year's team, and is the third Statuti to be a part of the program, joining sisters Nicolette and Nina
