Nine different King's College players scored for the Monarchs as they defeated Lancaster Bible College, 21-8 on Tuesday at Charger Field.
After King's scored the game's first two goals, the Chargers fought back to tie the game at 2-2, but the Monarchs scored 13 of the next 16 goals en route to a 15-5 halftime lead.
"King's offense is good and they move the ball around very well," LBC Head Coach
Zach Freeman said. "That being said, we extended a lot of their possessions by not getting the ball out of our zone."
Rebekah Weidel led the Chargers with four goals, while
Whitney Heise added two goals.
Ky-Leigh Hallman and
Akasha Kapp also scored for LBC which fell to 0-3 this season.
"They are one of the better teams we will see this season and I think the ladies realize they need to start doing some things better if we are going to get to that level," Freeman said. "I think we are close in some areas, but in others we still have some work to do."
The Chargers open up North Eastern Athletic Conference play on Friday when they host Medaille at 3 p.m.
